Purchased this for my niece's 9th birthday mainly because she was getting a applied Ipod touch. The cost was excellent. I snapped it on with especially little diffculty and it is nonetheless operating properly. Its tight enough that she can't quickly get the case off but still enables her to use all of the elements of the Ipod.
It is tough/impossible to discover items like this for a 3gen ipod in retailers so we were thrilled, but wary, to find them on Amazon! I was concerned it wouldn't fit, but it does! Like a glove! The cut-outs for each access point (charger, headphones, volume, on/off button) are nicely rounded and perfectly placed. It covers the entire device leaving only the screen and menu button open. I believe this will provide good protection against drops and covers all edges of the screen protector so it cannot be picked off like the last a single. My only "complaint" would be that the cover is so slick that it is way more most likely to be dropped! The preceding cover was grippy and did not slip (but was for a 4gen and did not fit properly). This one slides off of everything! But I appreciate it anyways.
